Yuca frita Don Beto

The yuca, also known as mandioca or cassava, among other names, is a striking tuber that contains high amounts of starch, it comes from South America and is highly extended acrosss all the Latinamerican cousines. One of the simpler and delicious ways to enjoy it is chopped in sticks and fried.

Ingredients:

For two.

1 pkg. DON BETO YUCA STICKS 2 LBS

Extra virgin olive oil or sunflower oil to fry.

Salt to taste

Preparation:

Heat abundant oil in a deep frying pan or deep fryer and fry in batches, at a temperature of 160-170ºC. Open a package of DON BETO YUCA STICKS 2 LBS and carefully place each piece of yucca in the frying pan or deep fryer and turn the pieces as they get colored, and remove them when they start to brown, without letting them get too browned. Drain on kitchen paper, fry the rest of the pieces, and salt them when they are still hot. Enjoy!
